Antidote 24 @ C's: Anniversary 2

antidote 24 - anniversary party

Antidote 24: 2nd Year Anniversary

Aug. 30, 2007
C's Bar, 685 Dingxi Lu (near Fahuazhen lu) SHANGHAI

DJs: Drunk Monk, B6, MHP, Ozone, SS, Shanghai_Ultra, Fabio Fonda.
MCs: Didjilerium and Cha Cha.

Music: Live Ambient, Dub, Dubstep, IDM, ElectroPunk, Razormaid
Dress code: Red & Black

* DJ Drunk Monk (Gaz) joined us for a set of dub and dub-step. The Drunk Monk was founder of the Uprooted Sunshine and PAUSE parties, and left Shanghai a year ago. After playing at festivals in Europe and the UK, he's returned to Shanghai with a stack of fresh tunes. Joined on the mics and megaphone by MC Didjilerium and local singer Cha Cha.

* Ozone dug into the crates to play the very records he started with years ago, from the DJ subscription service Razormaid. These beautiful extended remixes stripped down the elements of songs in an almost minimal fashion, and served as the cutting-edge of club music before house and techno happened in the late '80s.

* On tour in China, Italian ambient producer Fabio Fonda started the night with a live set.

* SS made her Antidote debut. This Shanghai native has been an enthusiastic supporter of the local music scene for years, and has now kick-started her DJ career. SS was instrumental in helping Antidote kick-start, and we'd like to thank her for rocking the house on our anniversary party!
